Karen Martin

Karen Martin was the Executive Vice President & Treasurer of Element Fleet Management Corp. (Element). Ms. Martin was responsible for balance sheet management functions including development and optimization of Element’s capital structure and debt programs. Ms. Martin was also responsible for the risk profile of Element through management of the liquidity, interest rate and FX risks. Ms. Martin managed Element’s relationships with its banking syndicate and rating agencies. Ms. Martin was Element’s Treasurer since 2012 and served in executive management, treasury and finance positions in public and private financial services companies for over 25 years, including Xceed Mortgage and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

Ms. Martin is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and holds the professional independent director designation (ICD.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors and the University of Toronto’s Joseph L. Rotman School of Management. Ms. Martin earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the University of Western Ontario.
